Why choose meatless meals?
Everyone has different reasons for choosing meat-free meals. It may be for health reasons, to reduce your carbon footprint on the planet, to show compassion for animals, or to save money.
Whether you've made the switch completely, are thinking about following a vegetarian or vegan diet, or simply want to increase the number of meatless meals in your diet, here are some ideas for you!

What is plant-based meat made of?
Many plant-based meats are made from pea protein, or legumes, such as lentils or soybeans. You'll also find ingredients like quinoa, black beans, seeds, nuts, and lots of vegetables.
Be careful, however, and read the labels. Many plant-based meats contain gluten, especially the ones designed to taste like chicken. Seitan, a vital wheat gluten, is a common ingredient in these.
Look for those that are labelled Gluten-Free.
