Gluten-free Apple Blackberry Crumble
This healthy apple blackberry crumble is made with buttery rolled oats, ripe blackberries, and sweet juicy apples. This is a simple fruit crisp with apples and blackberries. It's gluten-free, it's refined sugar-free and it's absolutely delicious!

Apple Blackberry Filling

apples
peeled, cored and sliced

blackberries
fresh, or frozen and thawed

tablespoons
cornstarch
or tapioca starch

sweetener
maple syrup, coconut sugar or 0-calorie Monkfruit sweetener

lemon juice

teaspoon
cinnamon

sea salt
Gluten-Free Crumble Topping
½
cup
butter
melted
⅔
cup
almond flour,
finely ground

cup
rolled oats
not quick oats
½
cup
coconut sugar
or brown sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Melt the butter and combine the crumble topping ingredients. Set aside.

1 cup rolled oats,
½ cup coconut sugar,
½ cup butter
Peel the apples, remove the core, slice thinly.
In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice, cornstarch, sweetener, cinnamon and salt.
Place the apples in a layer in a baking dish, 9-inch round or 9 x 13 inch oblong.
Top with blackberries, then sprinkle the crumble topping over the fruit.
Bake at 375°F. for 30 - 35 minutes.
Cool slightly and serve warm or cold, plain or with whipped cream, whipped coconut milk, ice cream or caramel sauce.
Notes
Bake this apple blackberry crisp in a 9-inch round baking dish or a 9 x 13 baking dish. You can also bake it in small ramekins.
