A simple Cajun spice mix for southern-style dishes, using spices and herbs you probably have in your pantry.

Love Cajun flavours? Here are simple instructions for how to make Cajun Seasoning Mix. If you love dishes like Jambalaya, Gumbo, Po'Boy sandwiches or my Easy Cajun Shrimp Fried Rice, mix up a batch of this Cajun spice blend to have on hand.
Why should you make your own?
Of course, you can buy it pre-made, but it's so easy to make your own, and you can adjust the spices to make it milder, according to your family's tastes. Just combine all the dried spices in a small bowl then store in an airtight jar. This recipe makes almost ¼ cup of spice mix for all your Cajun recipes.
