    What foods pair well with dill dip?


    Dill dip is a delicious and versatile dip that pairs well with a variety of snacks and dishes. Here are some ways to serve dill dip:

    With fresh vegetables: Serve dill dip with a platter of fresh vegetables such as carrots, celery, cucumber, zucchini sticks, kohlrabi sticks, daikon radish and bell peppers.
    With chips and crackers: Offer it with chips, crackers, or pita chips. It's a great option for parties or gatherings.
    With fish: Dill dip pairs particularly well with fish. Try serving it alongside grilled salmon, trout, or white fish. It's especially good with either Crispy Air Fryer Salmon Patties or Baked Salmon Patties.
    With chicken: You can also serve it as a dipping sauce for chicken tenders or Air Fryer Almond-Crusted Chicken. Try it with these Greek Lemon Chicken Kabobs if you don't have Tzatziki Sauce. It's perfect with Greek Chicken Burgers!
    With potatoes: Dill dip is a great accompaniment to Crispy Lemon Oven-Roasted Potatoes or Smoky Sweet Potato Wedges.
    With sandwiches: Use dill dip as a spread for sandwiches or wraps. It adds a tangy and flavourful kick to any sandwich.
    With salads: Use it as a dressing for salads. It goes particularly well with cucumber salads, potato salads, and coleslaw.

    Labelled ingredients for Greek yogurt dill dip: Greek yogurt, dill, lemon juice, sour cream, onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper.
    • plain Greek yogurt. Use a brand that is so thick you can stand a spoon up in it. Feel free to use either full-fat or non-fat Greek yogurt.
    • sour cream. Just a tablespoon or two. Sour cream is optional but it helps to soften the sharp tang of some varieties of Greek yogurt.
    • lemon juice: freshly squeezed
    • fresh dill: or dried dill
    • onion powder
    • garlic powder: or one small garlic clove, finely minced
    • sea salt or Kosher salt
    • black pepper
    • sweetener: also optional, but a small amount of 0-calorie Monkfruit or sugar helps to take the "bite" out of Greek yogurt.

    Homemade dill dip couldn't be easier!

    Squeeze some lemon juice, chop the dill, and combine all ingredients in a small bowl. That's it!

    👍🏼 Helpful Tips

    While you can, of course, make and serve this dill dip right away, you'll find that it's even better the second or third day, once the flavours have a chance to blend.

    A great make-ahead recipe when you're entertaining! A crudité platter is always welcome, especially if your friends have allergies or food sensitivities.

    ⏰ Storage Instructions

    To store: This dip with fresh or dried dill with stay fresh for about a week if kept refrigerated in an airtight container. In fact, it gets more flavourful!

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, see note #1
    • 2 tablespoons sour cream
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
    • ¾ teaspoon sea salt, or kosher salt
    • ¾ teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
    • ½ teaspoon onion powder
    • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
    • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, or ¾ tablespoon dried dill
    • 1 teaspoon sweetener, optional, see note #2

    Instructions

    • Squeeze a lemon and measure 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
    • Finely chop fresh dill, or measure ¾ teaspoon dried dill.
    • Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and stir until well combined. Refrigerate until serving time.

    Notes

    1. Choose a firm variety of Greek yogurt. A spoon should be able to stand upright in it.
    2. Sweetener is optional, but sometimes will help to take the "bite" out of Greek yogurt. You can use sugar or honey, or Monkfruit 0-calorie sweetener.
