I’m always on the lookout for ways to incorporate turmeric into my diet. For breakfast, I often make a Tropical Turmeric Smoothie. Sometimes in the late afternoon I’ll mix up a lemon-ginger Turmeric Pick-Me-Up, and for dinner Denis and I both like Honey-Mustard Chicken with Turmeric or grilled Turmeric Chicken Kabobs. I haven’t found a better way to relax before bed than with a mug of Warm Turmeric Cinnamon Milk.
Lately I’ve started my day with this healthy, high protein Tropical Turmeric Smoothie Bowl. I make it with a base of almond or coconut milk, frozen banana and chia seeds, flavour it with tropical fruits and top it with fresh fruit and sliced almonds.
I know it’s loaded with Vitamin C, essential minerals and anti-inflammatory turmeric, but what I like best is the way it tastes! It’s naturally sweet, smooth and creamy, and it’s topped with fresh juicy fruit and crunchy nuts.
When I discovered how good it was to add a little coffee to my smoothie, I concocted this Mocha Almond Smoothie Bowl.
